Carsington SC is the host for the 5th 2008 Craftinsure Topper National Event. It takes place over the weekend of Saturday the 19th, and Sunday the 20th of October, and it closes the 2008 National Series.

On Saturday the 13th of September, there is an Open Trainig session at Nantwich & Borders SC. Ths session is particularly important for those prospetive Squad hopefulls for the 2008 - 2009 squads.

August Bank Holiday Monday, (the 25th), is the data for the Leigh & Lowton Topper 6 Hour Race, and Fun Day.

To quote the poster for the event:

Race around Pennington Flash for 6 hours, a change of crew will be allowed . Teams of 3 Sailors recommended, but there will be no restrictions on the number or age of helms . Possible OAP concessions . Open to visiting teams - own boat required . Galley open for refreshments . Prizes awarded at the discretion of the OD .
